Things to Do in Snohomish- December

I like to try to keep a list of things to do in Snohomish so that our guests might have an even better stay while visiting out sweet little city. I am open to hearing about other events and venues so please do comment below if there is something you would like us to know about.

Dec. 9   Sweet and Stocking Stuffers at My Eclectic Home 11-5pm

Tiffany with LUVA cakes will be joining us for a fun day with treats and the ladies with My Eclectic Home will be offering stocking stuffer specials! It will be a great day to get a lot of homemade and locally resourced Christmas shopping done!

Dec. 9    Free Pictures with Santa hosted by the Oxford Saloon and put on by the Emerald City Harley Davidson Club

The Original Fat Boy is coming to Emerald City Harley-Davidson in Snohomish just in time to get your picture taken 100% free of charge.
Bring the littles and have your picture taken with the Fat Boy on his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle at Emerald City H-D in downtown Snohomish!

Dec 11   Mastering Homemade Bread hosted by the Hungry Pelican and taught by Chef Cody Castiglia

We are excited to bring local, seasonal cooking classes to Snohomish! Recently featured in 425 Magazine, our classes are hands-on and engaging, with recipes that are easy to create at home.

In all classes, we will use the finest ingredients of the local Fall harvest.

After each class, the three- course meal created in class will be enjoyed with Washington wine and beer.

Dec. 11 Winter Farm To Table Cooking Classes Registration Opens  hosted by the Hungry Pelican and taught by Chef Cody Castiglia

We highly recommend registering for these classes early as they fill up. You can get the full calendar and register here but for now, check out the choices! Bring a friend or a sweetheart, take a class, eat a nice meal and sleep over our suite for a very special date night!

Friday, December 15th – Pop! at Bland and Rouge Wine 

It’s a bubble party. Sample the range of bubbles that producers around the world present. Prosecco from Italy, Champagne and Cremant from France, Cava from Spain and sparkling wine from the U.S. South Africa, Tasmania and Australia. Sip to learn the differences and maybe take home a bottle or two to toast in the New Year or enjoy with holiday dinners.
3 – 7 p.m.

Dec 16   6th Annual Freestyle Christmas Lights Cruise

NOTE ROUTE:
Clockwise laps along First Street, Avenue D, Second Street and Cedar Avenue. Keep turning right!

Drive your decorated and lighted vehicle to Downtown Snohomish, for the 6th annual Freestyle Christmas Lights Cruise. Any car, truck or two or three-wheeler may participate! (Must be street legal.)

Simply show up anytime between 6:00PM & 7:00PM. Enter the Cruise anywhere along the route… it’s “Freestyle”! Join us for just a few laps, or the whole hour. Or, just come to marvel at the displays! Bring your camera too!

ALERT: some of the truck horns can be VERY loud, please be take care if you have small children.

17 Dec   Ugly Sweater Dance Party hosted by the Oxford Saloon and Swingtime Express

Wear your Ugly Sweater and dance the night away.

Thursday, December 21st – Solstice Walk along the River Walk
Stroll the River Walk where you will bask in the glow of hundreds of illuminarias and community. Then stop by Blanc & Rouge for a sip of selected chill chasers.
3 – 7 p.m.

Friday, December 22nd – Perfect Pairings
If you ever get stuck on what food to serve with what wine, this tasting is for you! With the dizzying array of cheeses available even the tried and true wine-and-cheese pairings are a challenge. Come learn the “rules of the road” when it comes to pairing wine and spirits with appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts.
5 – 7 p.m.

23 Dec   A Christmas Celebration Hosted by the Hungry Peiican and Chef Cody Castiglie

Join us for an unforgettable holiday celebration in Historic Downtown Snohomish!

The meal will be created by Chef Cody Castiglia of Della Terra. The desserts will be made by Elizabeth of “I’ll Have What She’s Having”. Washington wines and craft beer will be offered with the meal.

Limited seating is available, so get your tickets while you still can.

Jan. 31   January Book Club hosted by the Hungry Pelican and Uppercase Book Store

What if you took a break each month to read a good book and join in the Uppcase Book Store’s book club? What a wonderful way to take time out for yourself and to connect with other bibliophiles. Why is this on here now if it is a January event? Because you still have time to read the book if you start in December!
